Teacher

Mattias has been part of the teaching-staff at Balletacademy of Stockholm for over seven years. He has been teaching couple-dancing all over the world since 1996. His skills in venicular dances like tap and Charleston is extraordinary and he has a very pedagogic way of making people dance. Here are some special Tapclasses Mattias teaches:
  • Fundamental Technique for tapdancers based on Steve Condos etc. How to build up strenght for applying your tapdance to any kind of style. Tapexercising with makeing a step and double the tempo.
  • Tapdance with inspiration of flash moves. Great inspioration from tip, tap and toe, Nicholas brothers and condos brothers. You will get a chance to put a different focus on your tap with a lot movement.
  • Swingtap with a lot of focus on different timesteps. Work on your timing in the steps and find your metronom within yourself. Traditional tap with some inspiration from the "old-timers".
  • Funktap. Basically we play funk music and see what our tap feet can create to the music of today. A good way of using your basic technique as a contrast to the swingtap.
