Mattias Lundmark
Biography
Mattias is an extremely versatile artist with great success in many fields. As a dancer he has been member of the internationally recognized show-group Harlem hot shots for over 10 years. . His latest appearance was on the British TV–show ”Strictly come dancing” where he performed with Dougie Mills (Tapdogs) in a tap number choreographed by Ryan Francois, tributing the Nicholas Brothers. Mattias was the assisting choreographer and tap coach for ”Singing in the rain” which won nine awards, among them ”best choreography”, at prestigious Guldmasken 2007. Both as body percussion and tap-dancer, he was seen in the contempary show ”rhythm instrument” at Sprechwerk, Hamburg 2008. He began dancing swedish folkdances at the age of twelve. Then he started to dance Lindy hop 1991 and also went into competing. He came on third place in the Lindy hop world championships 1997. That same year he joined The rhythm hot shots that later became Harlem hot shots.

Mattias has worked as both choreographer, producer and director since 1997. He creates everything from fiveminute show-stoppers to full two hour shows in big city theatres and television-shows.
He were the assisting choreographer for “Singing in the rain” which won nine awards, among them “best choreography”, at prestigious Guldmasken 2007. He also worked with Nanne Grönwall at Hamburger Börs and “A Hollywood tribute to showbusiness” at Grand hotel. He is most known for his deep passion and knowledge of the 20-, 30- and 40-ies and also for all the different styles of tap he masters. |

Mattias has been part of the teaching-staff at Balletacademy of Stockholm for over seven years. He has been teaching couple-dancing all over the world since 1996.
