Swingkids and Swingteens

TV-Programs like ”So you think you can dance” and ”Let's dance” are creating a craze for dancing! It is a good and fun excercise and developes the social skills. Kids love dancelessons with young and energetic teachers that they can relate and look up to.

Hanna and Mattias do workshops and shows with children in all ages and they also offers a historical perspective were they show old movies and clips and teach more about life in the 20-, 30- and 40-ies.

Summer-Camp Herräng

The Legends edition!

Welcome to this years edition of Swingkids and Swingteens!
This year we will honour two great legends and inspire you with their charisma, dancing and energy.One was called ”the king of pop” and the other for ”the ambassador of Lindy Hop” and their names are Michael Jackson and Frankie Manning!
During 4 days we want to honour these legends with lots of music, lindy hop, acrobatics, videoclips, jazz and hip hop.
Your teachers are the mainorganizers Hanna Zetterman and Mattias Lundmark who are specialezed in dance-styles of the 20-, 30- and 40-ies and work as professional dancers.You will also meet Ilan Dromi who is educated at University college of dance in stockholm and pineapple dance studios in London and has danced bogaloo and popping since 1992 and work as Michael Jackson-imitator and has won the swedish championships of streetdance.
There will also be some secret guest-teachers!

You between the age 9-12 years (swingkids) or 13-17 years (swingteens) can participate in this camp in herräng (5 swedish miles north of norrtälje) on the 5-8 of july. The swingteens will have 3-4 danceclasses per day between 11.20 am-5 pm and the swingkids will have 3 danceclasses and 1 playing-session per day between 10 am-16 pm. The camp will be taught mainly in swedish but the teachers will always make themselves understood for the kids who don’t speak swedish.

The camp is ended with a performance on Thursday at 8 pm.

The price for the camp is 1650 sek. If you want it is possible to buy lunch for 50 sek per day and you can also buy a dinner for just Thursday for 60 sek. You can also bring your own food.
